Welcome to the new Brow Windows blog!
Hello! I’m Ben Beesley, Managing Director of Brow Windows in Altrincham. I thought I’d start a blog so I can give people an insight into our business, team and what goes on in the world of windows, doors, conservatories and orangeries!
Brow Windows was founded in 2001 by my Dad who has more than 40 years of experience in fitting windows and joinery. I helped out with the business when I was a boy, so it made sense for me to first join the business (I’ve learned everything on the job) and then eventually take over when Dad wanted to take a step back (he still gets involved mind!). We share a showroom with South Cheshire Blinds & Shutters, my brother Jon’s business – which makes us a one-stop-shop for all things window related!
I’m often asked why we’re called “Brow” – many people think we’re named after Oldfield Brow in Altrincham – but actually, the roots of our name lie further up the road! My Dad started his joinery business in a little cottage called “Eye Brow Cottage” – it’s next door to the Magnet Kitchen Store on Washway Road in Sale – and named his business after it. From there we went to 399 Washway Road opposite the old American Golf Shop – we were there for 20 years before moving to our current location at 142 Moss Lane, opposite Altrincham Football Club.
So that’s a little bit about me, my brother, my dad and our family businesses. Please let me know if there’s anything you’d like to know about in our blog.
