More about orangeries
Orangeries were originally came into vogue in around the 17th century, when wealthy folks wanted somewhere bright and warm to grow exotic fruit in the colder months. The combination of timber, glass and masonry added grandeur to the homes of those seeking to demonstrate their status. These days, orangeries are not merely the preserve of the very rich – but are an accessible and affordable way of adding much-needed space and light to modern homes. The ‘rooms’ created by Brow Windows are versatile, with many of our customers using them for dining, entertaining, playing or simply relaxing… they are also a great place to display fruit trees!
Every one of our bespoke orangeries is designed to the exact requirements of your home and personal style. We take pride in creating every orangery, using high-quality timber, glazing and our flat roof system – building each one on-site, for a superb finish and fit. The breadth of the columns and pilasters helps to integrate our orangeries into your home, giving a sense of permanence that can not always be achieved with, say a standard conservatory.
We have been installing top quality windows for private and trade customers in South Manchester and Cheshire since 2001. We are your local, family business serving Altrincham, Hale, Bowdon, Stockton Heath, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Knutsford, Cheadle and beyond.
